"Jason Torchinsky" (jasontorch)

You know how we have the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! section to focus on stories about those cars with those huge, open trunks out back? Sometimes you can buy hotdogs and Snapple from them? Those are trucks, I'm told, and they're great.
So, we want to brand that subsection of Jalopnik. I made these three logos to get some idea about what direction to go. They're first drafts, but I'd love to hear what you on Oppo think — any thoughts? What direction are you liking?
Thanks! I'll send a pitcher of beer to your internet.

wait wait wait....your saying "trucks" only encompass pickup trucks? Surely you can't be serious.

The top one, but I must agree with Mr HammerheadFistpunch on this "where's the proper trucks?" I think you should find a way to include Mr Rubber ducks awesome mack.

Either Option 1 or 3. I'm leaning to Option 3 because simplicity. 1 is spiffy too though. Dang, this is tough.

I mean I wouldn't call a uni-body SUV built off a car chassis a truck, but there are still SUVs that are or were built properly as body on frame trucks.

No, definitely not just pickups. Commercial, race, food, Tonka, all the trucks. ...Yeah!

I mean I LOVE #2 because it screams 'Merica (and all I can think of when I look at it is "America! Fuck Yeah!")
But in all seriousness, #1 is by far the best.

2 questions:
why are you greyed out?
what constitutes a "truck"? This is an argurment I have with my wife about my vehicle. I call it a truck, my 2 year old calls it a truck (argument should end there) but she says its a car.
I say - Framed vehicle with longitudinal engine built with the express [initial] purpose of cargo, towing or utility.
Thoughts?

It includes ALL trucks. From Kei classes to those building-sized things they use in strip mines. ALL TRUCKS.

Maybe something Deutz-ish? The first is good, but doesn't have the CHUCK NORRIS VIN DIESEL TESTOSTERONE OMG that the slogan might need. An old Deutz has the right lines, age, and is an air-cooled diesel, just saying.

Maybe I misunderstood, but is this not you requesting designs, not simply voting on these three?
If so, I have next to no artistic talent, but I've got two ideas, a silhouetted diesel burnout forming into the words, or a partially sideways offroad/mud truck kicking up dirt which is the logo.

First one is super slick, second one is lame, third one is fun (and suggests that trucks are more than just pickups).
So, in order of preference: #1, #3, something else entirely, #2

Logo #1. Change the truck to a Chevrolet from the "Advance Design" series from 1947-1953. Most iconic truck EVER. That is all.

I vote for #1,
please flush #2 like the piece of #2 it is, (nothing against the U.S, but it's way too army and not truck)

Bottom Logo, but make the "TRUCK YEAH" in the form of a truck on the back of the truck and of a different color?

I'd take the top logo but with a 3D font for the 'Truck Yeah' that would make it look like cargo being carried by the pickup.
